As a trainer it is very important to me that learners gain and retain information to optimum levels. Effective training can potentially reduce staff and client support requirements and as a result save time and money.
TACT Training services include:
- Training needs analysis – At this stage I provide a comprehensive consultation with you to establish what your business's specific needs, e.g. learning aims and objectives, are. This is to ensure that the training solution provided is tailored completely to your requirements.
- Syllabus design – Once needs analysis is complete a syllabus, or course outline, can be designed. The syllabus reflects your company's system to ensure that all essential knowledge and skills pertaining to your system are outlined for encorporation in to lesson plans.
- Lesson planning – Lesson plans are written to detail specific course content which will be delivered to learners during course sessions. These ensure that appropriate information is delivered effectively and efficiently.
- Materials design – Materials are designed to provide effective media through which information and skills can be imparted. I always design these materials to accomodate a wide variety of learning styles, and facilitate knowledge gain and retention.
- Course delivery - I can also deliver your tailor designed course. The process of needs analysis to materials design would leave me familiar with your system and able to deliver comprehensive training. Alternatively you may wish to purchase the syllabus, plans, and materials for your own in-house staff to deliver.
- Performance evaluation, and feedback – All learners are given the opportunity to assess the courses, including content and delivery, I give. This information is then made available to you. I endeavour to supply a quality service that leaves my clients assured and able to focus on their core capabilities.
Depending on the needs of the client, I can supply all or any number of these steps in the process. This can be discussed during the training needs and analysis stage.
Learing is fun!
Training Methodology
Experience and research has taught me over the years that:
- effective learning is a result of a process which addresses learners' individual styles while providing a wide range of varied training techniques and learning experiences to facilitate information retention; and
- every learner is different – to learn most effectively some prefer to read, others to discuss and so on.
My training courses are developed to encorporate these differences and also provide an environment where learners can actively process and use information so that it can be applied in a practical sense as well as an intellectual one.
