Documentation is an integral part of any system as it provides a constant point of reference to customers and end users. It has the ability to minimise customer support needs and as a result save businesses time and money.
To enable your technical staff to focus on their core capabilities, I can source technical content and develop cohesive coherent documentation for delivery to in-house staff and clientele.
I have worked specifically with training syllabuses, system/product specifications, end-user help files/manuals, test procedures and marketing articles. As a result the foundation of documentation principles I have established enables me to work with any number of document varieties.
I can help you in these areas:
- Collaboration with in-house staff or external clients to establish and ensure complete needs analysis for all documentation – In order to write concise documents, it is necessary for documentors to be familiar with your business' system or product. This collaboration stage is integral at the initial stages of, and also thoughout, the documentation process so that document content is technically accurate.
- Document development to in-house QA and/or client specifications – If QA and or Client specifications are already established, I will adhere to those when preparing documentation for your business.
- Custom design of documentation templates – If your business does not have a specified template for your documentation needs, I can create templates according to your business' requirements.
- Documentation review and amendment – If your business has existing documentation that requires attention, I can review and amend these for content, formatting or macrostructural accuracy.
